German Advent Pyramid

Okay...I thought I got a great deal on this Authentic German Advent Pyramid. $49.00 from Ebay. Well, I got it, it is beautiful and I was so excited, until setting it up and getting it going...the dang thing won't turn! Any ideas or suggestions? Don't buy your German decorations on Ebay? Too late....any other suggestions? I think the top looks crooked. I'm thinking that's why it won't turn. What do you think?

They are pretty temperamental. It's hard to tell why it's not working without being able to look at it. I know the paddles at the top on mine have to be inserted at exactly the right angle and the little metal rod has to be setting exactly in the middle of the little dish that it rests in. It is pretty, anyway!

That is a cool pyramid! I like it a lot! If it doesn't spin, don't feel bad- mine doesn't either! And I carried it home on my lap from Germany myself!!! (I know why mine doesn't spin though). But, spinning or not, they're cool, I love them and I would say it was still a good purchase.

It's cute! I like it! So, I figured out that in order to get them to spin, You have to make sure the bottom pin thing is on the part it needs to be. Also, you have to make sure the paddles on top are in right. They need to be slightly tilted, not too much because the heat will go right throught the paddles and burn them. Also my mom's wasn't turning and I checked those things but it still wouldn't turn until Scott made it completely level then it spun. I hope those suggestions help. It's cute! Good purchase!
